1. PHYSICAL:

The Redmi 13 5G has a very charming design. It can stand out among many other devices. The size is 6.74 inches and has 8.1mm thickness. it weighs around 192 grams. The in-hand feels good. The frame and the back is made up of plastic.

For port selection, it has a volume button, and a power button, which doubles up as a fingerprint scanner. On the bottom side, it has a single speaker, a microphone, a type-C port, and a 3.5mm Jack. The Redmi 13 C comes in 3 colors: Stra trail Black, Star trail silver, and Star trail green.

2. DISPLAY:

Taking about the display, it has a 6.74-inch HD+ Resolution display with a 90Hz Screen refresh rate. The one thing where Redmi made a cost-cutting in this handset is the display has a U-shaped notch, which kind of feels weird for an 11K segment handset.

But it can be accepted since some other brands still give a U-shaped notch in a 25-30K segment phone. so, this is ruled out. The display quality is quite great for the budget. Despite being HD+ the quality is good. It also comes with corning gorilla glass protection which is nice.

3. HARDWARE:

The Redmi 13C 5G packs MediaTek's latest chipset: Dimensity 6100+ under the hood. It might be the first phone in India that comes with this chipset. It is based on 6nm architecture with 2.2 GHz clock speed.

The phones come in 3 variants: 4/128, 6/128, and 8/256GB. The RAM type is LPDDR4X, and the storage type is UFS 2.2. The Antutu Score for 13C comes around 370K - 380K. which is considered to be fairly powerful in this segment.

The Dimensity 6100+ is a reliable processor and can easily handle day-to-day tasks. Gaming also can be done with BGMI up to 30FPS. So far, the hardware looks promising for Redmi 13C.

4. SOFTWARE:

The Redmi 13C 5G comes with MIUI 14, which is based on Android 13. Nice to see that it comes with the latest operating system. This means that users can enjoy the latest features and improvements that come with the latest version of Android.

The UI is smooth considering the price, but it still consists of a few bloatware, which can be deleted. The control panel is accessed from the left side, while notifications are accessed from the right side. Because of the 90Hz, The UI feels smooth, and the animations feel snappy with minimum lags or frame drops.

5. CAMERA:

The Redmi 13C 5G also boasts an impressive camera setup. Redmi 13C 5G has Two cameras on the backside. The rear camera setup includes a 50-megapixel primary sensor with an f/1.8 aperture, and 0.08-megapixel auxiliary lens, which is useless.

The selfie camera is 5MP with F2.2 aperture, which is fair for video calls and social media. All the basic camera modes are given in this handset. Talking about the quality, it is decent. The photos are fairly sharp in daylight, but in low light, the sensor struggles, and has very soft details. For the video quality, it supports FHD i.e. 1080P 30FPS.

6. BATTERY:

The Redmi 13C 5G packs a standard 5000mAh non-removable Battery. This means that users can enjoy long hours of use without having to worry about running out of power. It comes with an 10W Type-C charger in the box. But the device supports 18W charging. Which means that users can quickly recharge their phone when they need to.

The battery backup on the 13C 5G is good since the chipset is based on 6nm architecture, it draws low power from the battery, resulting in better battery backup. It takes around 2-2.5 hours to get fully charged.

7. Other Features:

The phone also supports 5G, dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.3, and USB Type-C. This means that users can stay connected to the internet and other devices, whether they are at home or on the go. A side-mounted fingerprint sensor, accelerometer, ambient light sensor, and compass. These sensors help to enhance the user experience by providing additional security and convenience.

Other feature of the Redmi 13C 5G includes IP52 rating. Means that the Redmi 13C 5G can survive minor water drops and offers some degree of protection against dust. While it is not fully waterproof, the IP52 rating provides a certain level of assurance against water and dust damage in everyday use.

This makes the phone more durable and reliable in various environmental conditions, such as light rain or accidental splashes.

8. CONCLUSION:

The Redmi 13C 5G is a great option for anyone who is looking for a budget-friendly smartphone that offers a range of impressive features and specifications. Whether you are a student, a professional, or a casual user, this phone has something to offer. With its large display, powerful processor, high-resolution camera, and long-lasting battery, the Redmi 13C 5G is a great choice for anyone who wants a reliable and affordable smartphone.

The Redmi 13C 5G starts at 10999/- for the 4/128GB variant and 14499/- for the 8/256GB variant. The 4/128 variants look more priceworthy and make itself stand in the competition. With the powerful Dimensity 6100+, decent cameras, big storage, and a fair display, all for 11K, Redmi has delivered a decent package for users.
