Samsung has launched their new budget 5G phone : Samsung F15 5G. This phone starts at around 12999/- and it has got some stuff that earlier F1X series lacked. so let's see what does F15 5G packs in it.

1. PHYSICAL OVERVIEW
By physical, the F15 5G looks dashing and cool. The camera layout reminds us of the S-series phones, it uses the same camera pattern, but the lens are different. By weight, the phone is heavy i.e. 217 grams, because the phone has a 6000Mah battery in it.
The phone has a rainbow effects on back. it will be in 3colours, Jazzy blue, green and black. The phone has a plastic frame and plastic back. Talking about ports and buttons, we get a speaker grill, a mic, a 3.5mm jack and a type-C port in bottom. The device is available in Ash Black, Jazzy Green and Groovy Violet.
On the right hand side, we get a power button which doubles up as a fingerprint scanner and volume buttons. On the left hand side, we get an SIM slot, which is hybrid sim slot. and on top side, we get an noise cancellation mic. So far, the F15 5G has all the things an user needs.
2. DISPLAY
The display on F15 5G is Good, but ruined by one thing : a Dull U-shaped notch. The Display is an 6.5-inches 90Hz S-Amoled Display. The display has brightness of 800nits in terms of highest brightness. The display has an Ugly U-Shaped Notch and the bottom bezel is also quite big.
So for the users who had an past experience with punch-hole display, definitely they will face the issue at first, but the display quality is good. It also has an Widewine L1 support, that means you can watch Netflix and Amazon content in HD. The brightness , contrast and viewing angles are good on this display.
3. HARDWARE
The Samsung Galaxy F15 5G Comes with Mediatek Dimensity 6100+ chipset. It is an budget opener 5G chipset from Mediatek. it is a 2.2Ghz Based processor based on TSMC architecture. Basically Dimensity 6100+ is an Budget 5G chipset, which can handle tasks easily and efficiently.
It is not for gaming purpose, but it can do gaming in lowest graphics in 30-40FPS. The phone has a LPDDR4X RAM Type and UFS 2.2 Storage type. Dimensity 6100+ can handle day to day tasks. The Antutu score comes around 375K-380K and the chip dose not throttle. All the tasks are done seamlessly.
4. SOFTWARE
The Samsung galaxy F15 5G comes with Android 14 out of the box with OneUI 6.1. The OneUI 6.1 is not ac core version, but it is a full fledged version. But in full fledged version, there are some things missing like being an S-Amoled display equipped.
It doesn't have Always on display and it also lacks Screen recording feature, which is a very basic feature in android phones. Anyways, The UI is smooth and minimal lags and frame drops can be seen. There are some bloatwares too, but it can be deleted easily.
5. SECURITY
As for the security, it has a side fingerprint scanner which is in power button. The FS is quite reliable and fast. we also get face unlock feature in selfie camera which is also fast and accurate.
Talking about updates, it will receive a whooping 4 Years of android updates and 5 years of security updates. means, this phone will go up-to android 18, which is quite doubtful, but let's see how things go.
6. CAMERA
The camera on Samsung F15 5G is a 50MP F/1.8main lens, a 5MP F/2.2 ultrawide lens and a 2MP macro lens, which is shit, and the front camera is 13Mp F/2.2 Selfie lens.
The camera performance is okay, judging the price and the shots are fairly sharp, they have good colors and they are okay. 5MP ultrawide takes very noisy shots and the selfie camera is quite good.
We can record up-to 1080P or FHD 30FPS. it also has EIS system to maintain stability while video recording.
7. BATTERY
The battery on F15 5G is a powerful 6000Mah Li-Po battery, which can lasts 2-days easily. It dose not come with a charger, but it supports up-to 25W fast charging.
Dimensity 6100+ is an efficient processor, so the power consumption is very low, so the battery usage stays on efficient side.
8. OTHER FEATURES
The F15 5G has an Bluetooth 5.3, WiFi 5 and has 13 5G bands. The phone has all the sensors included in it and OneUI features such as swipe to see list, Samsung pay and other features from secure folder.
9. CONCLUSION
The Samsung Galaxy F15, priced at Rs. 12,999 for the 4GB RAM and 128GB storage variant and Rs. 14,999 for the 6GB RAM and 128GB storage variant. The Samsung Galaxy F15 is an decent device, but lately there are issues coming from many users that F15 is lagging a lot and there is a lot of camera inconsistency from the device. Also some heating issues are seen in many devices. I hope Samsung pays attention to the issue and resolves the issue as early as possible. There are still many devices which are alternate to Samsung Galaxy F15. Like Poco M6 5G, Moto G34, Realme C67 5G and Redmi 13C 5G, if users wants similar specifications with pocket friendly budget.
